Group Exercise Classes

Elite Sports Clubs offers over 200 FREE Group Exercise classes a week. Group Exercise is included complimentary with every membership. Each class offers a variety from class to class and between instructors. Elite Sports Clubs' classes provide a sociable, yet motivating atmosphere. Through our 5 different categories of Group Exercise classes, members can get a full-body workout throughout the week without ever going into the fitness center. Consult an instructor or personal trainer for recommendations.

CYCLE

One of the best cardio workouts ever! This is an instructor led stationary spin bike class for all levels of fitness. Climb, lift, sprint and surge on the bike to motivating instruction and music.

20/20/20

This class is an all-in-one workout. 20 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of strength, and 20 minutes of abs and stretch.

A full body workout that targets all of the major muscle groups. You'll integrate strength, plyometric, and power exercises to produce stronger bones and muscles and increase your metabolism to help maintain a healthy body weight. Be ready to get STRONG!!

BOOT CAMP

A total body workout that is both cardiovascular and strengthening. The class uses plyometrics, calisthenics and agility training to give you the results that you've been looking for.

Body Combat is an energetic class which is inspired by a number of different disciplines and martial arts such as karate, taekwondo, tai chi and boxing. Combat focuses on upper body conditioning, toning of your arms, chest and abdominals and includes some lower body exercises, as well as improving cardiovascular fitness giving you a full body workout.

POWER MAX

This is one of Lynn Von Rueden's signature classes!! Class is broken into 4 x 15 min segments of strength and cardio for an overall exercise experience.

H2O BLAST

This joint-friendly, shallow water workout includes calisthenics style movements with variations of upper and lower body resistance moves using water dumbbells or noodles.  Members march, jog, and ski in the water to create resistance to improve cardiovascular fitness, muscle endurance, and flexibility.  Each instructor uses their creativity to keep the pace moving and the activities interesting.

This class is held out in the fitness area, on the treadmills and/or ellipticals. The instructor may take you up hills, on runs, sprints, strength phases, or even endurance challenges. You will have the opportunity to use speed and incline to challenge yourself through each class.

Do you like variety in your work outs? Then this class is for you. Experience step, hi-lo, intervals, and other styles of cardiovascular exercise. Build core strength, balance, and stamina in this high- intensity energetic class.

Join in on this fun, high energy dance party!  A cardio-based class featuring top hit pop/hip-hop songs.  This full body dance fitness workout is easy to follow and wil make you sweat!

This is a quick in-and-out class with an efficiently organized “anything goes” workout that burns off the calories while toning up the muscles.  Jumping, jogging, ladder drills, or kickboxing may be included.  

A challenging "take it to the stairs" workout held at the Concordia University bluffs. You will use the ramps, flats, and of course the 200 stairs leading from the bluff to the lake to build your strength and muscular endurance!  A fabulous way to kick off your morning!

Weather permitting. Class will be held at the club in inclement weather conditions.

NEW ENERGY STRENGTH

This class will help you add weights and strength work into your current routine.  This class is great if you’re new to exercise, as it is easy to follow.  Movements are done slow and controlled, with balls, bands, weights, and bosu balls.  Activities of daily living are emphasized.

HOT YOGA

This class features an invigorating and challenging series of flowing postures done in a heated room usually maintained at a temperature of 85-100 degrees. A vigorous yoga session at this temperature makes the body very warm and therefore more flexible while also deeply detoxifying the body.

This class uses the full Pilates repertoire, as practiced in the Pilates Mat II class. Traditional sculpting and core exercises are added to make this a great full-body workout.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

Taking time to relax and renew your body is essential to living well. 

In Restorative Yoga, postures will be modified and supported with props in a sequence that will encourage relaxation. We will practice being in poses rather than doing poses.  The majority of restorative yoga poses are  practiced lying on the floor.Gentle attention will be directed toward the breath. 

PILATES MAT I

This class teaches awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, utilizing the deep torso muscles of the core.  Controlled movements using the 18 beginner-level mat exercises help to build flexibility, core strength and coordination.  Static stretching components are incorporated throughout class.
