Group Exercise Classes (River Glen)

Elite Sports Clubs offers over 200 FREE Group Exercise classes a week. Group Exercise is included complimentary with every membership. Each class offers a variety from class to class and between instructors. Elite Sports Clubs' classes provide a sociable, yet motivating atmosphere. Through our 5 different categories of Group Exercise classes, members can get a full-body workout throughout the week without ever going into the fitness center. Consult an instructor or personal trainer for recommendations.

Cardio

CYCLE

One of the best cardio workouts ever! This is an instructor led stationary spin bike class for all levels of fitness. Climb, lift, sprint and surge on the bike to motivating instruction and music.

STEP

A class with movements oriented around a step with varying platform heights. Cardio blocks push fat burning systems into high gear followed by muscle conditioning tracks that shape and tone your body.

ZUMBA

Are you ready to party yourself into shape?  Forget the workout, just lose yourself in the music and find yourself in shape at the original dance-fitness party.  Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats.  It’s easy to do, effective, and totally exhilirating.

Melt away the pounds in this cardio kickboxing class that uses no-contact kick and punch combinations.  A challenging cardiovascular workout that is fun and action-packed.  Also great for improving coordination and footwork.

H2O BLAST

This joint-friendly, shallow water workout includes calisthenics style movements with variations of upper and lower body resistance moves using water dumbbells or noodles.  Members march, jog, and ski in the water to create resistance to improve cardiovascular fitness, muscle endurance, and flexibility.  Each instructor uses their creativity to keep the pace moving and the activities interesting.

Channel your inner rock star with this full body cardio jam session of a workout inspired by drumming. Using Ripstix, lightly weighted drumsticks, torch calories and tone while rocking out to your favorite music!

Be prepared to feel the burn in this hard core 30 minute cycle class! With very little recovery during class, you will be sure to burn some serious calories in a short time! Hills, sprints, endurance are all styles of training that will be incorporated. All levels welcome!

H.I.I.T. (High Intensity Interval Training) is a workout consisting of high intensity exercises followed by short recovery. This method of exercise will ensure a high heart rate as well as burning more fat in less time.

VINYASA YOGA

This class features an energetic, creative, full spectrum vinyasa flow designed to build strength, stamina, and balance. A dynamic flow of postures synchronized with movement and breath creates a more balancing effect.

In Restorative Yoga, postures will be modified and supported with props in a sequence that will encourage relaxation. We will practice being in poses rather than doing poses.  The majority of restorative yoga poses are  practiced lying on the floor.Gentle attention will be directed toward the breath.
