Seven players from Wisconsin are ranked in the Top 10 in their age brackets. All seven players train and practice at Elite Fitness and Racquet Clubs.

“We’re very proud of all of our junior tennis players,” said Elite owner Kay Yuspeh. “The fact that so many of our players are ranked highly shows the dedication of our tennis professionals and staff as they consistently strive to make our tennis program the best in the state.”

Among the seven USTA ranked players, Joshua Graves, of Milwaukee ranks 2nd in the Midwest Boys 17 and 18-year-old age group.   Billy Bertha, of Whitefish Bay, ranks 2nd and Nelson Vick, of Grafton, is 4th in the Midwest Boys 15 and 16-year-old age group.   Elizabeth Ecker, of Mequon, ranks 8th in the Midwest Girls 13 and 14-year-old age group.  Alyson Coran, of Mequon ranks 6th in the Midwest Girls 11 and 12-year-old age group.   Her brother, Danny Coran, ranks 2nd in the Midwest Boys 10-year-old and under age group, and Elizabeth Nicole Konon, of Mequon, ranks 5th in the Midwest Girls 10-year-old and under age group.

“Our tennis professionals coach high school tennis at Homestead, Nicolet, Whitefish Bay, Waukesha South, Menomonee Falls, Brookfield East and Central, plus several others, so they know these kids well and play an integral role in their success,” said Yuspeh.

All seven players will be competing in the Wisconsin Junior Qualifying Close tournament, taking place from May 31 through June 13. The Boy’s Junior Qualifying Close Tournaments will be held at Mequon Elite, while the Girl’s Tournament will be held at North Shore Elite. This tournament will feature the best boy and girl tennis players from Wisconsin.  Winners of this initial tournament will advance to the USTA’s Midwest Regional Finals.
